COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Koobor Care Australia will get you out into the community. This is a very important factor to maintain physical and mental wellbeing, and to help you live an independent & fulfilling life.

This might be going to your appointments, festivals, cinemas, theatre, community events, visiting relatives, sightseeing, etc. Wherever you want to go, we will take you.

This can include travelling by car, train or bus. This could be within your local area, surrounding suburbs or even country Victoria. This has been a very empowering experience for our clients.

DAILY LIVING ASSISTANCE / PERSONAL CARE

Koobor Care Australia Trust is privileged to be able to assist valued participants in a very important task, that is to help them begin the morning assisting them in showering and getting dressed and in reverse for the evening, seeing that they settled for the night. Koobor Care is very aware to assist you with compassion and dignity and improving your general health and wellbeing this is important and essential to the overall wellbeing of our clients.

TRANSPORTATION

We can help you get to any of your appointments, i.e. doctors, dentists, hairdresser. You might want to go to the gym 

RESPITE (DAY OR NIGHT)

Respite can give a well deserve break to either the client, the Support Worker or the family. This can recharge everyone’s batteries, giving time out to everyone.

Whether the Respite is during the day or at night (active or inactive overnight respite), you can rest assure that Koobor Care will provide the client an experienced Support Worker showing your loved one will be in great hands. We can help take the stress out of a difficult time. 

MEAL PREPARATION

If you’re an NDIS participant and you have a disability that restricts you from eating on you own or preparing meals, our Support Worker is there to help. Some of the ways a Support Worker can help with meal preparation includes planning, preparing, cooking ad serving your meals, monitoring your food pantry and keeping it stocked up, grocery shopping, supervising your eating and drinking.

VACATION COMPANIONSHIP

A travel companion is someone who either travels with you or meets you at your destination, to share in the experience together. It’s certainly more fu to sight-see with a travel buddy than to travel or dine alone. When planning a vacation for individuals with special needs, it’s essential to consider their unique requirements and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE

Sometimes your home can be overwhelming. We can assist you or encourage you in a range of domestic duties. Whether you need a house clean, change of linen, washing of clothes, general tidying, we are there Our dedicated team understand your needs and can help you orgainise your home.

2. Transport Assistance: Support workers probed e transport to and from the grocery store, making it easier for individuals to access the store and cook their own meals.

3. Tailored Care: Shopping assistance extends beyond mere errands. It’s about personalised care, ensuring that the shopping experience is efficient and aligned with individual preferences.

PET WALKING

Koobor Care Australia Trust will incorporate pet walking as part of community participation with the client.
